Every part of the US that I've visited seems to suffer from weather hysteria. In the winter, there might be snow, in the spring, there might be storms, in the summer, there might be humidity, and in the autumn, it might get cold.
Does the UK suffer from the same inanity?
I don't count coastal weather and hurricanes here. although The Weather Channel does overdo it.
The other thing is your money, particularly the 2₤ coin. Has that always been around, or is it relatively new? The US has tried to introduce $1 coins, but they're too often mistaken for US 25 cent pieces (which are the same size as your 20 pence coins) and no one wants to use them.
No real reason for the questions; just idle curiosity.

Hey we talk about nothing other than the weather,but I tend to focus on the peculiar sayings, There is one that all my Northern relations use that Cracks me up,On a drizzly day they never failo to come up with "Thats wet rain that" IE: That particular rain will get you wet!!!!!! Is there any other Kind.
Tend to moan alot about the Weather, especially the old (although i am slipping into the habit myself) Its to hot, to cold, to windy. In short we are obsessed with weather.
Regarding the Money the ? coin was introduced some time ago and replaced the Paper ? and the 2? coin some time after, though we never had a Paper ?2 you could never mistake them as they are gold coloured and slightlyt heavier and all other coinage is silver or bronze
